Attorney Jacob Leavitt is part of the successful workers’ compensation team here at Bighorn Law. The workers’ compensation team is dedicated to making the often times painful and confusing process of workers compensation into a better experience to get injured workers back into their lives.
Jacob has many years of experience successfully representing clients in workers’ compensation and personal injury which provides another asset to the workers’ compensation team here at Bighorn Law. Jacob is dedicated to the clients that he represents and makes communication a priority which means he returns calls and emails in either Spanish, or English, to better assist the Las Vegas community client base.
His experience in personal injury and workers’ compensation are an asset to his clients and his success has earned him referrals from his clients to represent their friends and family members, which is the greatest compliment he could ask for.

Jacob was born raised in Las Vegas where he attended Las Vegas High School, Community College of Southern Nevada and the University of Las Vegas Nevada and is proud of his roots here in the valley. When he is not representing his clients he enjoys working and playing with his family.
He began working at the age of 14 in construction where he became a skilled in many areas of construction with a specialty in architectural sheet metal. Construction taught him that hard work and attention to detail are key to success. He knows first hand the challenges that clients face in workers’ compensation, having endured the process himself before deciding to attend law school. The personal experience that he went through in his own workers’ compensation case is why he has chosen to focus his practice in personal injury and workers’ compensation.
Despite changing careers from construction to law, Jacob graduated in the top 13% of his law school, Thomas Cooley, in Michigan where he received a scholarship to attend based on his academic achievements. He is licensed to practice here in Nevada and Federal Court.
After law school he worked as an extern to the Honorable Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry. He worked at Lagomarsino Law practicing personal injury, business law and commercial litigation. Just before joining Bighorn Law, he practice law at Edward M. Bernstein & Associates where he was able to focus on litigation of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases for nearly four years giving him pointed experience.
