Warnings have been issued for Renuvion/J-Plasma for cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. The use of Renuvion/J-Plasma can cause life-threatening and serious complications.

If you’ve experienced any complications or symptoms from botched liposuction, an arm or neck lift, elimination of skin, or skin tightening procedures using Renuvion/J-Plasma you may be entitled to compensation.

Information About the Warning

The FDA has warned healthcare professionals to stop using certain handpieces to treat certain procedures due to multiple reports of serious burns, disfiguration and other potential life-threatening injuries.

The Agency has recommended providers and physicians to discontinue the use of Renuvion/J-Plasma for dermal resurfacing or skin contraction, alone or in combination with liposuction, as well as specific skin-types.

Injuries + Prognoses Reported

Patients have noted injuries from procedures using Renuvion/J-Plasma devices as second and third degree burns, skin discoloration, scars, nerve damage, significant bleeding, and air or gas build-up under the skin, in body cavities and in blood vessels. In some cases, adverse events required treatment in an intensive care unit (ICU).
